Who runs Not your Basic Shop

Not your Basic Shop is run by Pavel Krustev, an individual based in the Netherlands. You can reach us at hello@notyourbasicshop.com. By using Not your Basic Shop you accept these Terms.

What Not your Basic Shop does, and what it does not do

Not your Basic Shop is a free catalog. It shows products and services made or offered by parents and caregivers of children with disabilities, and every listing links to the seller's own website or page. There are no commissions, no selling fees and no charges, for sellers or for buyers.

Not your Basic Shop sells nothing. There is no shopping cart, no payment, no order and no booking on Not your Basic Shop. Buying, booking, paying, delivery, returns and anything that follows happen between you and the seller, on the seller's own website, under the law that applies there. Not your Basic Shop is not a party to that agreement, never holds your money, and cannot guarantee a purchase, a delivery or an outcome. That Not your Basic Shop has no returns page of its own does not reduce any obligation a seller has under their own law.

Buyers

You do not need an account to browse Not your Basic Shop or to follow a link. Please read the seller's own terms before you buy, because those are the terms of your purchase.

Sellers

Only parents and caregivers who care for a child with disabilities, and who make the products or provide the services themselves, can apply to sell. The administrator reviews every application and approves it before any listing can be published. Afterwards, each change to a profile field is reviewed on its own, while your current approved value stays public. Listings themselves need no approval before they appear.

As a seller you are responsible for:

  • being allowed to offer and sell what you list, where you are and wherever you ship
  • keeping the title, description, category, price and currency accurate and up to date
  • making the external link lead to the page where someone can actually buy or book that product or service
  • owning or being allowed to use every image you upload
  • following the Publishing Rules

Moderation

The administrator may block a listing, or a seller account, that does not follow these Terms or the Publishing Rules, and always gives a reason. A blocked seller can still log in, read the reason in the Dashboard and appeal from there. An application may be rejected with a reason; the account and its data are then removed.

Your account

An account is free. Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. An approved seller can ask for their account to be deleted at any time in My profile. If your application has not been approved yet, write to hello@notyourbasicshop.com and we will remove the account. The Privacy Policy describes what deletion removes.

Communications

Not your Basic Shop sends you the emails and Dashboard messages the service depends on: confirming your address, resetting your password, and decisions about your application, your profile changes, your listings and your account. Not your Basic Shop sends no advertising.

Availability and responsibility

Not your Basic Shop is offered free of charge and as it is, and it is run by one person. We do not promise that the site is always available or free of errors, and we do not check the sellers' own websites. As far as the law allows, Not your Basic Shop is not responsible for what happens on a seller's website or for a loss arising from a purchase made there. Nothing here limits responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited.

Changes to these Terms

If these Terms change, the date at the top of the page changes with them. Continuing to use Not your Basic Shop means you accept the version shown here.
